This 32-page hardcover scrapbook measures about 18 inches high and 14 inches wide. Inside are newspaper and magazine clippings from 1940 through 1947; most of these clippings appear to be from local Philadelphia newspapers. There are music reviews, obituaries of local musicians, notifications of upcoming performances. Many of the articles report on developments concerning the American Society of Ancient Music. Personalities mentioned include Ben Stad (the founder of the Society, in 1925), Lorne Munroe, Joe Brodo, Joseph Smit, Elisabeth Wysor, and several others.
The clippings are organized in a meticulous fashion; all pages are intact and free of tears.
The first photo above (at far left) is an image of one side of a full page. The other photos are composites of various images in the book.
